The people in charge of the Senior Citizens' Club where we are housed are increasing the charge for use of the premises by a goodly amount. To cover the increased costs Oswestry Club will meet fortnightly for the time being. Revised Club night dates are below.

April 4th and 18th
May 2nd, 16th and 30th
Anyway, that bad news aside, if you're looking for some live chess action you will receive a friendly welcome at Oswestry Chess Club every second Thursday at 7.30 pm.
If you want to learn how to play chess, if you want to improve your game or if you just want a friendly game come along and have a go. Try a few sessions for free and if you like it become a member. If you decide that it's not for you then it has cost you nothing.
Joining the club opens up opportunities to play competitively depending on ability. You could play as part of a team in league matches online or over the board or in individual competition.
Everyone is welcome, any age, any ability from beginner to Grand Master. Please note that children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
